Best Place to Shoot Pool - Hollywood Billiards
" If hustling is your style, try Hollywood Billiards for some serious nine-ball action. But this is no sketchy pool hall. The exquisite architechual design and renovated spaces could do wonders for your game. Offering 35 pool tables, a full bar with 30 beers on tap, and a restaurant with full menu (not to mention the lovely fountain in the courtyard), this place is a pool palace of sorts. But if playting billiards isn't your thing, come anyway: the large screen televisions, impressive state of the art arcade room, and VIP rooms for private parties should keep any any game minded patron occupied all night."

featuring delicious comfort food"

CITYSEARCH-LOS ANGELES
Stephanie L. Smith of Citysearch raves:

The Draw
Hollywood Billiards is all about getting back to the basics. Forty Brunswick tables with nary a mark on the felt make for great action. Nine-ball not your game? Try foosball, darts, air hockey or just watch a pro game on one of the eight big-screen TVs. Hole up with chain smokers, a burbling fountain and ficus trees in the courtyard, or host a party in one of two private rooms. Don't miss the view from the upstairs balcony, which is as much a lesson in the geometry of pool as the physiognomy of the people playing it.

The Regulars
Hustlers of both sexes. Expect gals in tube tops and guys in jeans and black T-shirts.

Must-Have Drink
A brewski. Upwards of 40 domestics and imports are available. Half are on tap, but most folks opt for bottles. Why? They're easier to swig triumphantly after sinking the eight ball.
